2018 Vacation Bible School
Our VBS registration is nearing capacity and we now have a wait list open for interested children. We hope to be able to give everyone a spot and will be in touch by July 16. Please contact Charlotte Trafton (email@example.com) with any questions. To put a child on the VBS wait list, click here.
- Triumph Sports Camp for 5-12 year-olds still has spots available and you can register here.
- We are always looking for many hands to help make light work to run our VBS. To volunteer, register here.
All children meet in Room 14 from 9:50 – 10:10 a.m. for Singing and Storytelling. As you enter, grab a comfy mat and join us. Please note: There is no Sunday School during the summer season – we will resume meeting on Sunday, August 26.
- Preschool (ages 3+) – First Grade meets in Room 3 for RAP: Reflection, Activity and Prayer
- Second Grade – Fifth Grade meets in Room 13 for RAP
Child care is available for infants and toddlers during both worship services as well as the Sunday School hour. The nursery is located in Room 2 of the Education Wing. Marta Woodard leads a dedicated staff of caring attendants who have provided loving care for Westminster’s youngest for many years.
Vacation Bible School (VBS @ WPC) – July 30-August 3, 2018
We have teamed up with an after-VBS sports camp to offer a full-day camp during our VBS week. The VBS theme for this year is Rolling River Rampage – it’s going to be fun Bible-filled time with our VBS friends! (VBS is for children going into K – 5th grades, and there is childcare for younger children of volunteers.)
Beginning in 3rd grade, Westminster children and youth are eligible to join the acolyte ministry. Our acolytes process in with the “Light, Water, and Word” each Sunday morning at the 11 a.m. worship service as visible reminders of God’s presence with us when we worship. If you are interested in becoming an acolyte, please contact our acolyte coordinator, David Vanden Bout.

John Knox Ranch
Westminster children and youth are active in the summer camping programs at Mission Presbytery’s John Knox Ranch near Wimberley, Texas.
Elementary Almost Lock-ins
Every quarter Westminster hosts Friday night Almost Lock-ins from 5-9 p.m. for children ages 5 – Fifth grade. We have dinner together, do crafts, and usually watch a movie so parents can have a night out. Remember to bring your sleeping bag!
Westminster’s Passages Program
Westminster marks the development of a child’s faith using our Passages Program. As children grow from babies to confirmation, children develop their ability to recognize God’s good gifts in their lives. We mark this growth in worship using the Passages program. We present first graders with books written by some of our members about worship. These explain the parts of our worship service and unique features of our worship space. We present third graders with their own Bible. We present fifth graders with the Presbyterian hymnal. Please contact Charlotte Trafton if you are interested in including your child in the Passages program.
