Christian stewardship reflects an attitude toward all of life. God is the creator of everything. As God’s people, we are given the responsibility to care for what God has provided. God’s gifts are bountiful, and we are meant to enjoy them with gratitude and to share them with love. Giving to the work of the church is a grateful response to the blessings God has bestowed upon us.
Westminster sees generosity in giving, and faithfulness in serving as two hallmarks of good stewardship. Tithes and offerings are used for building up the body of Christ for the work of ministry. Financial gifts provide support for our worship, congregational care, fellowship, and educational ministries along with salaries for our staff. A portion of our annual income is also used for outreach ministries, both locally and globally.
We share not only our financial resources, but our gifts of time and talent as well. Members are invited to complete a time and talent form indicating areas of ministry in which they would like to be involved. We believe God is able to use all that we offer. All gifts of time, talent and treasure are significant in the kingdom of God.
