Faith and Grief Ministry
Meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church (Fellowship Hall)
Those in the process of grief and mourning benefit from an organized, significant event that delivers ongoing compassion. In response, Faith and Grief Ministries offers a luncheon program that provides a community where persons feel safe to express their grief. They are encouraged to speak their truth in love, even their doubts, while being offered measures of comfort, hope, and support by trained facilitators.
Westminster and University Presbyterian Churches are partnering to begin a new ministry of compassion and connection. Every second Thursday of the month, we will offer luncheons in the Westminster Fellowship Hall where men and women, mourning the death of a loved one, can join with others who understand and thereby be strengthened by scripture, prayer, and conversation. The simple lunch and meeting are free and open to the public. Donations to cover the luncheon are accepted.
