What to Expect

Welcome to Westminster!

Here’s an overview of a typical Sunday morning:

10:30-12:30 p.m.—Childcare is available for infants and toddlers in the children’s nursery

9:30 – 10:45—Adult Bible Study – Child care is available for infants and toddlers.

11:00 Worship—A more traditional service with communion served the first Sunday of each month.

Children are always welcome in worship! Nursery care is available for younger children who grow restless. We also have a children’s library stocked with books and toys.

A brief fellowship time in Fellowship Hall follows the 11:00 worship service featuring coffee, juice, cookies and lots of good conversation. We hope you will join us!

No matter who you are, or where you are on life’s journey, you’re welcome here.

Westminster Presbyterian Church is an inclusive spiritual community for all of God’s people. No matter your faith background, you’ll find Westminster to be a place where you can strengthen your faith and meet others who are on similar faith journeys.

Our church life centers itself around weekly worship. We think you’ll find the sermons engaging and thought provoking. On Sunday mornings, you’ll find an inspiring liturgical service offered at 11:00. Sunday School classes for children and youth and adult Christian education classes are offered from 9:30-10:45; this is a great way to get to know people and for personal spiritual growth and enrichment.

When you visit, you’ll find greeters waiting to welcome you. When you’re ready, please take an Order of Worship from an usher, and have a seat. If you’d like to view a worship service now, click here. Once seated, we’d love for you to sign the red friendship register book at the end of each pew so we can have a record of your presence with us.

No matter your faith background, you’ll find Westminster to be a place where you can strengthen your faith and meet others who are on similar faith journeys.

Feel free to move around and greet people during the “Passing of the Peace.” This is a nice time to meet a few people and know that you are welcome as one of God’s children. During the Lord’s Prayer, you’ll hear us say “debts” and “debtors” rather than “trespasses” and “those who trespass against us.” If you have a prayer request, you can fill out a prayer request card located on the back of the pew, and place it in the collection plate.

Children of all ages are always welcome in worship at Westminster. Children’s worship activity bags are located at the back of Fellowship Hall. The “worship bags” help keep little fingers busy and attentive during the service, with larger toys tucked away nearby. A nursery, located in Room 2 of the Education Wing, is available during each service for infants and preschoolers who grow restless.

Large print hymnals and bulletins are available at the back of Fellowship Hall (near the entrance doors), and an usher will be happy to help you find them.

After the service, we have refreshments in Fellowship Hall. Also, following the service every Sunday, Elders are available to answer any questions you may have.

Westminster offers many opportunities for you to get to know others. Simply click on the Church Life tab at the top of our homepage to find more and learn what may call you to Westminster Presbyterian Church.

We’re saving a place for you!
