For Westminster Presbyterian Church’s VBS, we are headed to Adventure Island with a toucan who will help us discover key learnings! Join us for Bible stories, games, science and art activities.
All participants, volunteers, and ministers will be masked during in-door activities when in close proximity. Children will be permitted to eat snacks without masks, sitting socially distanced outdoors. Leaders might remove their masks when teaching in front of a group to facilitate communication. Volunteers, teachers, and leaders will either remain masked or vaccinated throughout VBS. Please read more details in FAQ 5 below. Register by clicking here.
We are partnering with Austin Youth Fitness to offer an after-VBS camp from 12 – 4 pm. The children will eat lunch and relax with a short movie break from 12-1, then bike, run or have water fun (depending on the day) from 1-4 pm. Plan to bring bikes before VBS on biking days to be locked securely together. Registration information can be found here.
Here’s a little more information on VBS:
FAQ 1: Our VBS (9 a.m. – 12 p.m.) is for children entering Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade.
FAQ 2: Our VBS costs $25 per family and this covers the cost of a VBS t-shirt, and pizza lunch Friday. You can pay by credit card through this secure website via REALM (https://onrealm.org/wpcaustin/-/give/VBS) In the Memo Line tell us your oldest VBS participant’s name. We recommend you open (or cut/paste) this link in Chrome.
If this is a financial hardship for your family, please only contribute what you can.
FAQ 3: One volunteer per child is asked to help before, during or after VBS. We prefer in-person volunteers to be vaccinated, and we can provide ways to help from home if you prefer.
FAQ 4: If you do not get an email from us the week before VBS week, your child may not be registered. Please email us to clarify!
FAQ 5: Please read our COVID VBS Policies here.
